How it works
A directory, not a middleman
Sleeves Up. Builders lists independent veteran-owned businesses and the trade schools that train them. Homeowners contact members directly. Members pay a flat monthly membership, never a fee per inquiry.
Homeowners
If you own a home
Free to use. No account required to browse.
Step 1: Search the directory
Filter by trade, ZIP code and distance, verified credentials, and rating. Every listing is an independent business, not a lead broker.Step 2: Read the listing
Each profile shows the business's services, service area, contact details, any credentials Sleeves Up has reviewed (with the review date), and staff-checked reviews from customers.Step 3: Contact the business directly
Use the phone number or website on the profile. Online project requests through Sleeves Up aren't available yet.Step 4: Work it out with them
Scope, price, schedule, and contract are between you and the business. Sleeves Up. Builders is not a party to that agreement.
Businesses and schools
If you own a business or school
Membership is flat monthly. Approval is required before a listing goes live.
Step 1: Apply
Start at /join and choose Home Repair Pro or School. Create your account, confirm your email, then fill in the basics: trades, base ZIP and service area for a business; programs, GI Bill / VR&E approval and accreditation for a school.Step 2: Upload verification documents
License, certificate of insurance, veteran-owned proof, and accreditation where it applies. Documents are private to you and our reviewers.Step 3: Choose a plan
Pick a placeholder membership tier (Basic, Plus or Premium). Membership is request-only during launch: no payment is taken and billing will start later. Your plan never changes where you appear in the directory.Step 4: Review and approval
We check documents against your listing claims. We may approve, reject, or come back with a request for more information.Step 5: Membership activated, listing goes live
An admin approves the application and activates your membership. Your listing then appears in the right directory: the Home Repair Network for businesses, or the school directory for schools.
Limits
What we do not do
- We do not employ, contract, place, assign, or supervise anyone in the directory.
- We do not charge per lead, sell homeowner contact details, or take a cut of any job.
- We do not guarantee work, pricing, or outcomes. Verification is a document check, not a warranty.
